The Black Family

The Blacks, a Pure-blood family whose lineage goes back for many generations and are most are very proud of their ancestry. Described by my rival blog, Heroes of Olympus “an interesting bunch” I have decided to show my respects for the best of the Blacks. While typically Slytherin these select individuals don’t quite fit the typical Slytherin mold.

Andromeda Tonks

Poor Andromeda Tonks has a very difficult life, being disowned by her family for marrying Ted Tonks. She was placed in Slytherin so her family didn’t think there would be anything “wrong” with her, that was until she showed interest in a Muggle-Born, a Hufflepuff to make matters worse. She broke through the status quo and eventually had an awesome little girl, who happened to be quite a little troublemaker, Nymphadora “Tonks” Tonks. Her only family is Teddy Tonks after both her husband and daughter died as a result of Voldemort’s uprising.

Narcissa Malfoy

Sister of Andromeda Tonks, she was the perfect daughter of their parents being everything a Slytherin was supposed to be. That was until she betrayed Lord Voldemort in return for information concerning her son’s well being. A master Legilimens she was able to lie to his face, claiming that Harry Potter was dead. The love she held for her family that she was able to lie to the arguably, most powerful wizard alive. A true mother, she has every right to be on this list and get a fresh start. So give thanks to your mother, she may save the world for you.

Sirius Black

The last Black on this list (Tonks is not a Black but a Tonks), and the only Gryffindor. The Godfather of the Boy Who Lived, he was put away in Azkaban for 12 years because he was framed for the murder of James and Lily Potter. He detested his family from the start, a wish which was granted in his first year of Hogwarts. Placed into Gryffindor he’d had the chance to get a new family, one which was held very close to his heart. He died at Battle of the Ministry, laughing, at the hands of his cousin Bellatrix Lestrange. One of Harry’s father figures, his death caused poor Potter a good amount of grief.
